The Bedford Arms

The hotel building dates for the most part from 1842. It was converted from a house to a hotel in the 1930’s and was a small eating house and bar rather than a hotel. In 1957 the restaurant was moved to its current position.

The hotel was frequently used by the Russell family who later acquired Woburn Abbey. Subsequently owned by various companies the Hotel was upgraded to the standard it is today. In 2002 the Bedford Arms was sold and was  in private ownership and a new wing of eight bedrooms was opened in 2005. In 2013 the hotel was bought and subject to a major refurbishment. The results are impressive and a visit is recommended

If you are looking for Hertfordshire weekend breaks, the perfect country house wedding, a business meeting venue or time walking in the Chiltern hills, The Bedford Arms is the place for you.
