A message from the Chairman

Great British Bake Off, Great British Sewing Bee, The Big Allotment Challenge and now The Big Painting Challenge. There's never been a better time to be inspired and be part of the Great Creative Revival. The Chenies and Latimer Produce Show is an opportunity to showcase your new-found skills, take time out to relax from the fast pace of life and enjoy being creative, then bring your project to this year’s Produce Show on Saturday 19th September 2015. We will have a class for all your creative works, or failures.

Go out into the garden, grow a few veg seeds or flowers – you don't need a big garden, you can put them in pots. Or plan ahead and start practising that Victoria Sandwich recipe or, new for this year, Dips or Cheese Straws. Also we would like to see more of your art work and photography entries – you don't even need a camera, take a photo on your phone.

The Produce Show is a great tradition which is only possible through the number of entries and support of everyone in the community. The show is open to all people living in Chenies or Latimer or attending Chenies School. It is an amateur show and we all have great fun while raising money for good causes. This year we have chosen a charity with a strong local link in Little Chalfont – The Neuroblastoma Society – which raises money for the funding of research projects into this specific cancer effecting babies and children under the age of six. They will benefit from the Show as well as Chenies School.

Take a look at the schedule, tick something you would like to do and get started. We will send out a reminder and entry form nearer the time. If you need any more information please contact a committee member or look on the Chenies village website.
Why not make an extra effort to be part of the Produce Show this year! Encourage your neighbours, bring your family and friends along on the day to see your endeavours, enjoy tea and cake, the raffle and children's activities and be part of a long village tradition.
And maybe win a prize or trophy.

Look forward to seeing you there.
