21st April (Easter Monday 2-5pm)“Easter Egg Festival”.

In 1285, during the visit to Chenies of Edward 1, the earliest occurrence is recorded of eggs being cooked and given to the villagers to celebrate Easter. Following this tradition, we have egg & spoon races, sack races, Easter egg spotting throughout the house.Entertainer: Dee Riley – Chenies Manor’s most amazing resident Magician.Mark Garton the “Ultimate Chocolatier” will be demonstrating his art in the manor kitchen.Delicious home made teas – shop and Plants for sale.

 

5th May – (Bank Holiday Monday 2-5pm).“Tulip Festival”

26th May (Bank Holiday Monday House & Gardens open 2-5pm).10am-4pm

“The British Driving Day” and Farm Day. There will be a competitive event with many classes & trade vehicles (Contact Mrs. S. Higgins on 01 923 267919).In the afternoon there will be vintage tractors on show and free tractor-trailer rides for children, who can also enjoy our Yew Maze & Turf Maze.

There will be a demonstration of Victorian Cooking in Chenies Victorian Kitchen,Home made teas – shop – Plants for sale.

 

June 4th,5th,11th,12th,18th & 19th – 2-5pm “Hilda Solomon’s” will be coming to Chenies Physic Garden to talk on the value of herbs.

3rd July Thursday BBC “Antiques Roadshow”Doors Open 9.30am- 4pm

We are delighted to announce that we have been selected to host the BBC Antiques Roadshow. The house will be partially open from 11.30am - 4pm and the charge will be £5 for adults – Children £2.50. For more information see our website.

Our 16th Plant & Garden Fair, with 70 specialist nurseries from all over the country.
